Senior AccountantYour responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Reconcile transactions on a daily, monthly, and annual basis using XERO.
- Manage records and receipts as per SOL Edu/Migration CRM System
- Process invoices in a timely manner and ensure accurate payment processing.
- Undertake the month-end closing process
- Monitor day-to-day operations and internal team performance.
- Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams.
- Contribute to financial audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Complete routine and ad-hoc financial reports, including monthly sales team profit and loss reporting.
- Manage fortnightly payroll of 40 employees and monthly casual payroll of 20 employees.
- Collaborate with external accountancy to ensure accurate BAS lodgment and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare, review, and lodge relevant reports, including IAS, BAS, and payroll tax.
About you
We are seeking a Senior Accountant who embodies reliability, responsibility, and self-motivation, and who will thrive in this role. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities and qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of working knowledge and experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of finance operations.
- Meticulous attention to detail, consistently maintaining the highest level of accuracyInternational Education industry experience highly desirable
- Strong proficiency in financial systems such as Xero, with intermediate working knowledge of Excel
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, consistently seeking opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to various stakeholders.
- Strong team player, capable of collaborating with all levels of stakeholders, while also possessing the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Demonstrated high accuracy and speed in handling transactional volume processing tasks.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Meticulous attention to detail, consistently maintaining the highest level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
