The pair of travellers who tested positive for COVID-19 after travelling from Melbourne and avoiding mandatory quarantine have sparked serious concerns of community transmission.
Two 19-year-old women, one from Logan and the other from Acacia Ridge, sparked the health emergency when they returned to Queensland via Sydney without disclosing they had been in Victoria.
Already, there has been one reported case of community transmission — a 22-year-old woman — associated with the pair.
Queensland Health has advised people who were at the following locations at the relevant times to immediately self-quarantine and contact 13-HEALTH:
- July 21: Flights VA863 (Melbourne to Sydney) and VA977 (Sydney to Brisbane).
- July 22-23: Parklands Christian College, 9.30am-6pm.
- July 23: Madtongsan IV Korean restaurant, Sunnybank. 7-9pm.
- July 23: Heeretea bubble tea shop, Sunnybank. 9.25pm.
- July 23-24: YMCA Chatswood Hills Outside School Care. Springwood.
- July 24: Primary Medical and Dental Practice, Browns Plains. 3.45pm.
- July 26: Thai Peak restaurant, Springfield. 6.30pm-9pm.
- July 27: Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar, South Bank.
- July 27: P'Nut Street Noodles, South Bank.
- July 28: African Grocery Shop, Woodridge.
- July 28: Primary Medical and Dental Practice, Browns Plains. 12.25-12.30pm.
- July 28: Chatime Grand Plaza, Browns Plains.
