The Role
Agri Labour Australia (ALA) is now searching for a dedicated Brisbane-based Recruitment Consultant to provide our Australia-wide agribusiness clients with the calibre of workers they need to keep our Agriculture Industry humming.
A typical day in the life of our Recruitment Consultants involves receiving job orders, placing job advertisements, assessing resumes, calling and shortlisting candidates, reference checking, and creating candidate profiles. They also manage ongoing rostering platforms for various clients on a rotating internal roster (including weekends when needed).
To be a successful ALA Recruitment Consultant you will be emotionally intelligent and culturally-sensitive, and able to engage with colleagues and job-seekers from all walks of life. You will use your excellent relationship-building and communication skills to recruit job-seeking candidates for immediate roles, as well as grow our existing candidate database.
Working hours are generally between 9am and 5pm, however flexibility and commitment are required for peak periods where longer working hours are expected. You will also be required to be accessible via phone after hours and on weekends for emergency changes in recruitment needs and pressing candidate queries.
All job training will be provided, however you will ideally have recruitment or high-level customer service experience, with a passion for helping people by providing them with varying employment opportunities. Our company utilises multiple software systems to make your job easier, so an eagerness to learn these is essential.
The industry which we service does not only run 24/7, year-round – it is also heavily impacted by weather events which lead to changing client needs. Adaptability is therefore essential, as well as a genuine interest in or willingness to learn about the Agriculture Industry.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:

· a positive, down-to-earth attitude and willingness to learn;
· strong intercultural awareness as you will engage with a diverse workforce
· a willingness to enhance your understanding of the Agriculture Industry;
· a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and experience with social media platforms such as Facebook;
· a commitment for continual improvement, innovation and learning;
