SENIOR HAIR DESIGNER WANTED – BRISBANE

FGDolls Hair is looking for an experienced Hair Designer with 5–15 years of professional salon experience to join our team.

FGDolls Hair is one of Brisbane’s established K-Hair salons, proudly operating for 19 years and building a strong reputation not only within the Korean community, but also among a large local Australian clientele.

We combine K-Beauty style and attention to detail with modern Western hair techniques, working in a busy, professional salon environment.

Our current team consists of 7 members, including the Director, and we are looking for another experienced designer who wants to grow with us long-term.

POSITION

Experienced Hair Designer

- Minimum 5 years of professional salon experience
- Maximum 15 years of experience for this position
- Senior/Lead Stylist experience highly regarded
- Base wage + performance incentives and bonuses
- Client allocation and support based on each stylist’s strengths and speciality

REQUIREMENTS

You must:

- Have at least 5 years of hands-on salon experience
- Be able to communicate naturally with clients in English
- Have strong consultation and customer service skills
- Be responsible, reliable and willing to continue learning
- Hold valid Australian working rights, such as Working Holiday Visa, Permanent Residency or Citizenship
- Work well as part of a team
- Be comfortable working in a busy salon environment

FGDolls provides ongoing technical education through our own training system, covering everything from:

Colour Fundamentals → Foiling → Balayage → Colour Correction → Grey Blending / Going Grey

We believe experienced stylists should never stop learning.

And yes — snacks are provided during training too.

THIS POSITION MAY NOT SUIT YOU IF YOU...

- Prefer a very slow or quiet working environment

- Refuse to adapt from the techniques or habits you have always used
- Avoid communicating with clients in English
- Need to rely on a translator for normal client consultation
- Prefer working individually rather than supporting a team
- Are unwilling to follow salon procedures and standards
- See working alongside the Salon Director as pressure rather than an opportunity to learn and develop
