I'm obviously no longer writing my book. Instead, here is a poem. It might take a while to say, and I doubt this website will be around long enough. Anyway, here goes....

Love is supposed to be easy.
But you made it so hard.
I don’t, and never did, blame you for that.
Everyone in your life who was supposed to love and support you let you down and abandoned you. Including me.
I am so, so sorry, and I always will be.
You deserved so much more.
You deserved to be loved, and to be happy, and to grow old listening to children laughing.
But now you are gone.
If I had kept my promise, you’d still be here.
If I was a stronger man, you’d still be here.
You will always be in my heart and in my thoughts.
