chefs for the general kitchen, sushi bar, teppanyaki dining and pastry
sections, and cooks in Japanese cuisine and kitchen
staff to join our dynamic team.

our experienced and award winning team at Sono Restaurant, Portside Wharf. A
Certificate IV in hospitality would be preferred for this position.
Previous experience in Japanese cuisine is also preferred. The successful
applicants will display excellent communication skills, written and verbal,
with both our staff and patrons, as well as having a neat and tidy
presentation. This position will see you working in conjunction with
an experienced kitchen team.
The team at Sono work hard to ensure a warm and comfortable atmosphere for both
our staff and patrons. Staff meals, training and regular hours will be provided
to the candidate that shows they are able to work hard when required, as well
as display any eye for quality and detail in their daily work ethic.
Familiarity with Japanese culture and cuisine would be of value.
This position could be negotiated as full-time or part-time, hours will mainly
consist of shift work, with weekend shifts required. We are seeking dedicated
persons for a long-term commitment with our restaurant. We are able to
negotiate a good salary package or hourly rate for the successful applicants.
