Experienced Chef for catering kitchen. Immediate start 30+ hours per week on a casual basis to start with and training with current chefs. A permanent full-time position available for the right candidate. You must have a minimum 3 years of recent restaurant/kitchen experience. Catering experience is very desirable. You must be adaptable, self-sufficient, and a high level of time management skills.

· Working Monday-Friday – no split shifts

· Early morning starts and finishes no later than 2pm

· No nights or weekends

· Baking experience is desirable

   Casual rate - $29-$34 per hour

Responsibilities will include:

· Preparation and cooking of meals at the highest level

· Stock take and regular ordering

· Monitoring of stock after delivery

· Communicating daily with kitchen and delivery staff

· Ensuring kitchen operations adhere to Food Safety Program

· Supervision and the provision of direction to kitchen staff

· Completion of food safety documentation

· Assisting with weekly rosters for kitchen staff

The successful applicant must also demonstrate:

· Minimum of three years cooking experience

· Food Handling and Safety certificate

· Own transport

· Basic computer skills (emails, online ordering)
